What to Eat for Diet Results or How To Eat Yourself Thin

Eat yourself thin? Sounds bogus, right? Even like a scam … Can’t eat yourself THIN?!

Well, I’m here to tell you that you can.

Yes yes yes it’s true. No really, it’s true I tell ya! icon wink What to Eat for Diet Results or How To Eat Yourself Thin

Let me elaborate …

Remember Bjorn, the Judo guy?
One day I was talking to him about losing weight when he asked:

(Hmmm … think fast Mark!)

Since fat burning is to at least 80% in the nutrition I had my answer ready:mark1 What to Eat for Diet Results or How To Eat Yourself Thin

“Well, first of all you want to clean up your diet. Just eat clean, get rid of all the junk, and you will see results right away. That’s a really good place to start.”

But Bjorn was not happy with that: “Alright, they all say that, but how in the blazes do you apply it? What does it really mean, “Eat Clean”?

So for what you might call the “Fat Burning Beginner”, who’s not quite sure how to go about all this, here’s a good approach:

It’s based on a rule from Athletic Training Periodization:
“First Isolate, Then Integrate”.

It works in programming, and it works in nutrition.

We’re talking about a step-by-step, structured approach to introduce natural, clean foods into your diet.

This is what your week might look like:

Day 1:
Have only fruit, any fresh fruit at all, and as much as you want .*
*Organic is always best, as goes for all food and drink!

Examples:

  • Oranges
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Pears
  • Peaches
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Plums
  • Mango
  • Kiwis
  • Avocado, etc.*
  • *Don’t worry too much about what type of fruit, and whether it’s high G.I (glycemic index) or high I.L. (insulin load) and all that stuff. You might look at these things later on, but for now all we want to achieve is a natural, unprocessed foods-diet.

    Day 2:
    Only vegetables allowed:

  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Beans
  • Lentils
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Peas
  • Cabbage
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Tomatoes, etc.
  • Day 3:
    Protein only:

  • Eggs
  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • Hard Cheese
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Fish
  • Milk, etc.
  • Day 4:
    Nuts and healthy Whole Grains:

    Oats and Barley are great for porridge, muesli and bread. For nuts we have Almonds, Walnuts, Brazil Nuts, Peanuts, Cashews, Hazelnuts etc.
    Or even a Trail-Mix: a nuts and dried-fruit blend.

    That’s four days of isolated, unprocessed foods, pretty much what has been on the menu back in the day.

    Day 5:
    We start to integrate/combine the above …

    Examples:

    Scrambled eggs with Broccoli and Cheese, or
    Greek Yogurt with Almond Butter and an Apple for desert, or
    Barley Porridge with a diced Orange and a small Yogurt.

    There, see? It’s really quite simple once you get the hang of it.

    Summary:

    Day 1: Fruit only

    Day 2: Veggies only

    Day 3: Protein only

    Day 4: Nuts and Grains only

    Day 5 and onwards: Integrate/Combine these, also with other natural, healthy dishes.

    Just be sure to keep it as unprocessed as possible most of the time and you’ll be right as rain!

    Now this is just one way of many to do this, to clean up your diet, but this one happens to work very well.

    Then the next step in this structured approach to eat yourself thin might be the TS Method 4/3-System:
    you simply cut out all calories within 4 hours of bedtime, and postpone the breakfast by 3 hours in the morning.

    And then the next step … but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, do we?

    Say what? You want it now? You sure? OK, then …

    The NEXT step would be to do your Fat Burning Training in that early morning 3-hour window, the one before breakfast … starting with the TS Method HIIT+LIIT Interval Training.

    But that’s enough for now.
