Beating the Flu, forever more …
It seems all my life I‘ve been looking for something to prevent the flu.
I tried just about everything: better life-style, all kinds of supplements, training, you name it.

The usual scenario was this:
Just when I thought I found the solution … wham! 2 weeks out.
Fever, feeling like sh … tuff, no energy, no drive, no appetite …

I don‘t know about you, but I think that sucks! I mean I REALLY don‘t like that!

But wait a minute, what‘s that got to do with fat burning?

Well, it‘s pretty obvious (to me , ’cause I know where I‘m coming from!) icon wink How To Beat The Flu ... Forever More.

When you’re sick you can‘t train, you don‘t care to eat healthy, you lose strength and maybe even muscle, the body weight goes down, but usually that’s only lean mass, not body fat.

And did I mention? It just sucks!

So what to do? Let’s look at what doesn’t work first …

Here are some of the things I’ve tried over the years:

  • Proper Training
  • Healthy Nutrition
  • Improve Sleep
  • Specific Supplements
  • Some of the supplements were for example: AB (beneficial bacteria), Zinc, Glutamine, Vitamin C, D3, Garlic.

    Problem? They help for sure, and you definitely should use them.
    Don’t get me wrong: all the above is good, necessary even, for optimal health. All the above will help improve your shape and health.

    But none of them alone will reliably protect you from the flu.
    So what if you do all these and you still get whacked sometimes? What‘s the “Edge”?

    Obviously we need something more, something more powerful, something better than that, a ninja-trick microbe assassin

    Ahh, now we‘re talking! A Microbe-Assassin! Because, as you can probably imagine, I have found just the thing …

    But we’re getting ahead of ourselves, back pedaling, back pedaling …

    So I tried all that up there, and I still got sick about once/twice a year, for 1-3 weeks at a time … just like is usual.

    Then I made progress. I stumbled onto something that works … most of the time:
    Green Tea. Yep, that’s right!

    7 years running I was never really sick. Maybe somewhat under the weather, but I always could work and train. I never was bed-ridden with a fever and pneumonia or something like that.

    Pretty good record! Not so shabby, Once in 7 years as opposed to 1-2 x each and every year.
    But „You‘re gonna have to do better than that!”
    I for one want to be rid of these pesty bugs for good, for the long haul, forever!

    That’s right!

    So how does it work?
    As I understand it, Iodine is highly concentrated in your thyroid gland.

    There it helps create thyroid hormone, which over-regulates the whole metabolism and consequently helps with weight loss.

    But back to flu-prevention: The body‘s blood passes through the thyroid gland, where the concentrated iodine zaps any harmful virus-buggers and bacteria that happen to dare and trespass. (as you can probably tell I’m quite passionate about the whole subject!) icon wink How To Beat The Flu ... Forever More.

    That‘s it. If you‘re iodine deficient –which most folks are– this process doesn‘t work, and the pathogens can overpower the immune system.

    When on the other hand you‘re “all stocked up” on iodine, the little buggers don‘t stand a chance!

    I honestly don‘t know since how long exactly now I‘m using iodine regularly, but it must be more than a year. So far, I haven‘t had even a snuffle.

    Will it work indefinitely?
    Can‘t say, but I really believe so, considering what this stuff does …
    I‘m pretty confident it will keep me healthy for the long haul!

    In the meantime, when there‘s yet another flu epidemic around and everybody & their sister if off sick feeling like you-know-what, I‘m totally not fazed at all.

    I‘m pretty sure this is it:
    All the healthy living and training described abvove? Of course. That’s the basis.
    But then add some green tea and especially Iodine to the picture/mix, and the bets are on: with all the odds in your favor to beat the flu for good!

    Some Iodine Supplements

    How to take Iodine?

    There’s different forms of Iodine Supplements.
    I use Lugol‘s solution, between 4-6 drops per day on average, usually on empty stomach in the mornings, in a little water. That‘s for the 10% solution, for 5% simply double the dose. I also use kelp tablets. Then there‘s Lodoral, which is basically Lugol‘s in tablet form.

    Getting stone-drunk by the way doesn‘t work … trust me! icon wink How To Beat The Flu ... Forever More.
